What Is the DDA?
The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is a division of the Maryland Department of Health that provides funding and oversight for services that support children and adults with developmental disabilities. DDA’s mission is to promote inclusion, independence, and self-determination through person-centered planning and community-based supports.
Services We Help Coordinate
Residential Services: Safe, supportive living environments tailored to individual needs
Community Integration: Programs that promote social engagement, recreation, and life skills
Employment Support: Job coaching, vocational training, and supported employment
Behavioral and Clinical Services: Access to mental health, nursing, and therapeutic care
Coordination of Community Services (CCS): Personalized planning and navigation of DDA programs
Transitioning Youth Services: Support for young adults moving from school to adult services
Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility is based on a diagnosis of a developmental disability and a demonstrated need for support. Individuals must apply through the DDA and complete an assessment process. Once approved, a Coordinator of Community Services (CCS) will help develop a customized plan and connect families with appropriate providers.
